INSPIRE is THE tool we use
At my academic library, the INSPIRE databases are THE tool of choice for our students. While their research may eventually lead them to other sources, they almost always start with the INSPIRE databases. If we had to provide these resources to students with University funding, our spending on other Library resources would be severely curtailed. Please ensure that the INSPIRE databases continue to be available for all Indiana residents, at schools, libraries, homes and offices.

Level the Playing Field
INSPIRE is one of the greatest resources school media specialists could have in their arsenal of tools for students. With our small budgets, this provides us with access to thousands of dollars of information we could not afford to purchase on our own. It levels the playing field for all residents of the state. We have used it hundreds of times for health classes, junior and senior research papers, even math trivia questions! INSPIRE is a smart investment for our state's future both at home and in the classroom.

INSPIRE for Job Hunting Research
As a medical librarian I have access to most of the medical literature, but sometimes my users have needs that fall outside the scope of medicine. INSPIRE goes a long way help me fill those needs. Just one example: a chaplain came to me looking for articles on juvenile detention facilities for an upcoming job interview. Thanks to INSPIRE I was able to print up 12 on-target, full text articles within a short period of time. And he got the job!

INSPIRE Databases in Constant Use
For students in a two-year college, INSPIRE is a real Godsend. It is in constant use -- and not just EBSCOhost. Lit Finder has been a welcome addition. Bio Resource Center is great for background. We certainly hope that the service will be continued and expanded.

Information at Your Fingertips
Recently I was looking for information on treatment options for a family member who has cancer, and was able to access the INSPIRE data base for what I needed. No one citizen can have at his home the information sources, medical and otherwise, that are readily available on INSPIRE. When a person feels that research is vital, it is wonderful to be able to get that information, to become informed and to have it at your fingertips when making decisions. Thanks to INSPIRE, I can do these things.

College Student: INSPIRE Has "Great Value"
As a student, I find the databases that are offered through INSPIRE to be of great value. I am a distance education student, and the ability to access EbscoHOST through my home computer makes research, even at the graduate level, much more convienient. Also, as a Library Science student, I find the "Professional Development" database in INSPIRE to be highly useful and relevant to my studies.
