Poseyville PL Is Pilot Library
"The Research Revolution: The Laboratory and the Shaping of Modern Life" series will soon be part of the Poseyville Carnegie Public Library video collection. Confirmation has been received that the library was chosen to be among 50 pilot libraries in the United States to receive a grant to acquire this program series free. The library was the only Indiana-based library selected.
The new film viewing and discussion series will consist of screenings of award-winning documentary films, supported by scholar-led discussion and extensive suggested reading lists. Six individual sessions will include films and discussion of such subjects as genetic engineering, the development of synthetic materials, military technology and the changing understanding of the human body.

INSPIRE Makes a Good Paper Great
I had to do a school report on Rainforests. Books from the library were helpful, but some really up-to-date information about rainforest destruction and related species extinction issues were available on INSPIRE. It made the difference between a good paper and a great one!
