Public Library Is a Plus
I am director of a small public library. We serve a wide variety of people in our small community. Our patrons comment that our library has a good selection of up to date materials for all ages and interest levels. We offer story hour and summer reading programs for children. We also have tours for both preschool and school children. This is a great way to introduce children to all the library has to offer and many return with their parents.
I feel public library is a plus for the community.

Enjoy the Library!
I have enjoyed working at Converse Jackson Township Library for 6 years. I head the summer reading program and story time during the school year. I enjoy spending time with the area children. We have good turn outs for these programs and they all say how much fun they have at our library.

Proud of Library
I have worked at the Converse Public Library for the past three years, and unlike other jobs that I have held, I have always look forward to coming into work. I love the ladies I work with, and I have taken great joy in forming relationships with our wide array of patrons. Although I currently attend Ball State, I still occasionally fill in at the library when needed. Over the years, I have spent most of my time working in the children's department, and I am proud of the programs we offer our kids. Along with story times, we also provide a five week summer reading program complete with a concluding party and prizes for all our participants. Working at the library has showed me how important it is to be involved in the community; I am a better person having had this work experience.
