INSPIRE knowledge put to immediate use
After attending an INSPIRE workshop, I left feeling amazed at how much information was available on the site. Little did I know that I would use INSPIRE that same night, when my 4th grader came home with a social studies project on Hoagy Carmichael. Without INSPIRE, it would have taken quite a bit of time to narrow the search, but using INSPIRE KIDS (new version) we found information that was understandable for her.

INSPIRE Is a Daily Research Tool
Wawasee High School has about 1100 students and 350 computers with Internet access. We use INSPIRE daily as a research tool. The full text periodical data bases are particularly helpful. Students and teachers are amazed at the resources they can find. INSPIRE provides deeper and broader searching capabilities than we have ever been able to provide on our own.

Faculty Uses INSPIRE for Research
We have several databases within our own media center here at Warsaw Community High School. However, the INSPIRE databases help us provide faculty members with a substantial amount of information to use and improve their teaching skills. Also, INSPIRE provides the faculty members with materials to support their graduate research and studies.

INSPIRE Health Resource
INSPIRE has been a most valuable reference tool for my customers, but it was also a wonderful resource when I had to deal with a family health issue. My brother, in his early forties, had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and was to have his prostate removed. I had viewed a PBS show concerning new treatments for prostate cancer and wanted to get this info to my brother, so he might have another alternative. I remembered what the treatment consisted of but could not remember the name so I went to INSPIRE and found the information I needed. As a result my brother had the radioactive implant seed treatment instead of prostate removal and he has been cancer free. This was definitely an example of how INSPIRE helped improve the quality of a life.
