INSPIRE solves a mystery
I don't know how many times our patrons have reacted with joy when I tell them about INSPIRE. Indeed, several have said "God Bless You! God Bless You!" after I demonstrate the results from EBSCO Host in relation to their research project.

However, occasionally, a funny one comes along.

I received a call from a young couple who disagreed about the story of the man being bricked alive into a set of catacombs. He swore it was from "The Count of Monte Cristo," she said insisted it was Edgar Allan Poe-- but she couldn't remember the name of the story to prove it.

A search of Lit Finder on INSPIRE doused her husband's hopes for a victory as the full text of "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allan Poe appeared in seconds.

As we were saying our goodbyes, I could hear the argument continue in the background.

"Man, I could have sworn it was that story," he said.

"Sorry dear, you're just not a literature queen like I am."

Biography resources INSPIRE student
A frustrated college student came into our library at short ends. She was working on a paper about Jamaican singer Robert Nesta Marley, but found little of worth on the Internet. Unfortunately, our library's collection held little of interest so I steered her to the Biography Resource Center on INSPIRE. Together we found several biographies from mulitple reputable sources along with Marley's official website which she had not found. "Thank you so much, you've Inspired me," she said. I forgave her the pun.
