INSPIRE Provides Another Option for Education
I have had a lifelong love of reading and books. Any Website that encourages reading and visits to the library is one that needs to be kept around. The INSPIRE Website is just one more example of why Indiana is a leader in education. Instead of just talking about ways to improve our education system, INSPIRE provides another option in keeping our kids as informed as possible. Thank you INSPIRE!! Keep up the good work!!!

INSPIRE Open 24 Hours a Day
Their are three libraries in our county. The librarians are friendly and in my experience do their best to accommodate the patrons. Sometimes my schedule gets very busy and I need information NOW! Sometimes my children wait until bedtime the night before something is due to tell me about an assignment. INSPIRE is open 24 hours a day! I don't know what my family and I would do without it. Thanks INSPIRE!

Thanks for the Great Service
INSPIRE is an outstanding resource for my language arts and psychology students. Whether researching for school projects or for their own personal enrichment, students have come to appreciate the ease with which they can further their knowledge and understanding of themselves and the world. Especially in these times, such an enlightening tool for our youth is invaluable. Thanks for the great service!

INSPIRE Helps Us Help
I left library work 32 years ago this month; I came back last year to find that things had changed quite a bit! Books and magazines now share the shelves with videos, audio books, compact discs AND the INTERNET. As a resource tool, this modern wonder of technology provides invaluable assistance to those of us involved in the field of learning. Websites such as INSPIRE are a god-send and an absolute necessity to "help us help" future generations on the road to knowledge. The education of our kids should be a priority for us in Indiana both on a personal AND state level -- resources such as INSPIRE make it much easier to accomplish that goal. Thanks, INSPIRE!!

INSPIREd Educational Journey
Working in a library for twenty years, I've seen firsthand the importance of our libraries and how they can benefit and enrich so many lives. A few years ago, our Ferdinand Branch Library had a special Summer Reading Program that focused on INSPIRE. The program was titled "Inspired Families Read Together." People of all ages could sign up. One of the tasks that each participant had to complete, was to look up INSPIRE on our library computer. Since we only had one Internet accessible computer, it was a real challenge, but a huge success!! Everyone was introduced to INSPIRE through a fun-filled library program. INSPIRE continues to help children as well as adults in their educational journey through life.

INSPIRE Is Critical for Our School
INSPIRE provides tremendous authoritative and accurate database resources for our students and teachers. The references and databases are critical for smaller schools that cannot afford the extra database subscriptions and other reference resources.

Disadvantaged Without INSPIRE
I teach levels of research from grades 8 through college. Without INSPIRE, all of my southern Indiana students would be at a disadvantage in producing quality work. Many of my students depend on INSPIRE because it's accessible when libraries are not.

INSPIRE Is Indispensable
Our 8th graders just finished their first major research paper and most ended up INSPIRE fans. They did not get bogged down in the quagmire of information that a general Internet search sometimes yields. They liked getting full text articles, and the image search capability provided some great pictures they included in their papers. INSPIRE is an indispensable database and reference tool for small schools like ours who could never begin to provide comparable periodicals and reference books.

Libraries offer great career choice
I have worked at the Jasper Public Library as a page since about the summer before my sophomore year. Since then, my life has changed a lot. I have made new friends from my co-workers, learned a lot of lessons about life, and just enjoyed myself while having a job. I believe my job is great, and I couldn't have asked for a better oppurtunity for my first job.

Libraries = Multiculturalism
We currently only have three public access computers available in our library. One day while working on one of them I overheard the users of the other two. One patron was Hispanic and the other Russian, both accessing sites in their native languages. When I got up, my place was immediately taken by a Japanese student. The public library is the only place in town with free Internet access to the public and even foreign visitors know to visit us.
