Computers and Libraries
My first experience with a computer came while I was employed with the local school corporation. I had a granddaughter in college and I learned how to exchange e-mails with her. When I retired in 2000, with no computer at home, I started coming to our local library computer lab. I am no computer expert and the staff here in the lab is always willing to help me with any problems I happen to have. I have taken some of the informational classes offered by the lab staff and they have helped me become more at ease using the computer. I still e-mail grandchildren and friends, but am now able to search for the latest information on any new medications I am taking, and can exchange genealogy information with a newfound relative in Alaska. The availability of the library computer lab was most helpful when it came time for my husband and I to make a decision on the new Medicare prescription plan. I was able to pull up many different options and together we were able to make a well informed decision thanks to the availability of the library, the computer lab, and the staff. I look forward to many more years of enjoyment at the computer.

Library Plays a Big Part
The Greensburg Public Library plays a big part in my life. It is a great place to experience. The quiet corners and the window settings give me a sense of peace. I have been using the Library four or five times a week for over three years now. All the Staff are very friendly and add to the pleasant sensation I experience while there. The Computer area, where I spend most of my time, is up-to-date providing fast access to the Internet. All the staffare very helpful when things aren't going exactly the way they should! This does not happen very often. The help provided is always friendly and I have witnessed Staff helping others as they would a neighbor. I know the Board and Staff are always looking for books and technology that will enhance my use of the Library. Their efforts enhace our community. In my estimation the Greensburg Public Library is a fine example of what a Library should be.

Family Loves Library
My family loves our library! We are blessed to have such a knowledgeable and caring staff. Our children's librarians are always looking for fun and creative activities to encourage a love of reading. When my older son has a research assignment for school, or a topic to investigate, our library is the first place we come to begin our research. We begin our search with the help of our wonderful computer lab assistants. They introduced us to INSPIRE. We have discovered that INSPIRE is a wonderful tool to use for his research assignments. Thank you so much!We love our Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library!
