Library Holds Special Place in Our Hearts
The Lebanon Public Library is a fabulous library. The employees there are always very friendly and helpful whenever I need anything. When I first moved to Lebanon from New York State after marrying a Hoosier, it meant so much to me to visit the library because it reminded me so much of my hometown library. Once my children were old enough, and being a stay-at-home mom, I was able to enroll them in classes held at the library. There was always something going on there for children and we took full advantage of it. My children are now in college. Both remember those days and now they use the library at their respective universities and feel right at home because our hometown library, The Lebanon Public Library, always afforded time for children. We have a special love for our library and know that without one, we would be missing a place in our hearts.

INSPIRE's Value as Research and Homework Tool
We teach INSPIRE to all of our students in grades 5-8. They use it successfully for a variety of projects. We also have it as a link on our library media center Web page. Many students and parents have commented about its value as a research and homework tool at home. We know that we would not be able to afford this type of online database from our media center budget. We are grateful for the legislative support of this valuable reference tool.

INSPIRE, Internet, Valuable Tools for Genealogist
As a Genealogist in a Public Library I have found INSPIRE an invaluable research tool. The Indiana Genealogy links give access to archives, databases, directories and vital records. The Internet sites links from Cyndi's list to INGENWEB and Local Indiana History are just a sample of Genealogy links for those using INSPIRE for their Indiana Ancestry research.

INSPIRE for Everyone
Everyday more and more people are becoming aware of INSPIRE in our area. Our School Librarians are teaching their students INSPIRE and we are promoting it with great results. Patrons are so happy that they can go home to find the information when they are in desperate need for the information and we close in 1/2 hour. Many patrons also come in and look up INSPIRE on our computers as well. It has become a staple in the Reference Department: "Have you looked into INSPIRE?" There is no way that we could afford to provide this wonderful service on our own. Don't take this wrong, we still use and have a pretty extensive collection at our library for patrons to find information, but this also helps the unserved areas and thus makes them happier in our community.
